  11. There are a number of ways the Xtra can be distributed with your projector or packaged application.

  13. You can place the Xtra in a folder called ΓÇÿXtrasΓÇÖ in the same folder as your application. This is the

  15. recommended method, particularly if your application will run from a slow medium such as CD-ROM.

  17. This method will provide the fastest loading application, because the Xtra will not need to be

  19. extracted every time your application runs.

  21. In Director 6 and later, you can embed the Xtra into the projector. Embedding the Xtra in Director 6

  23. and 6.5 is not recommended - these versions of Director have problems in this area. Embedding in

  25. Director 7 and later is much more reliable. To embed the xtra, you need to manually add it to the list

  27. of Xtras to be embedded. Choose the Modify -> Movie -> Xtras menu. A dialog box will appear. Click

  29. the ΓÇÿAddΓÇÖ button, and select ΓÇÿbudapi.x32ΓÇÖ (Windows) or ΓÇÿBuddy API XtraΓÇÖ (Macintosh).  In Director 7
